' Palestine will be Free '
A new animated music video for a new star Maher Zain

Awakening Records is pleased to announce the release of the world's first animated peace music video. ' Palestine will be Free ' was directed by Andrew Morgan of Chase Animation and features a song performed by Awakening's latest music sensation - Maher Zain.


This is the first time an animated peace music video has been produced. "We are recognized as pioneers and constantly pushing the bounds of creativity and innovation. This animated music video for our new star artist Maher - is just another step in that direction and certainly not the last", said Bara Khereji, Director of Awakening Records. Destined to be an international success, the video features the story of a young brave Palestinian girl who never loses hope for a better future despite the harsh realities surrounding her.


Maher is a Swedish Muslim artist who signed with Awakening Records in January 2009 and has already become a music sensation overnight. His album is on sale in over 25 countries and he is inundated with concert requests from Canada, Australia, England, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, to the US and beyond.


Maher previously worked with renowned music producers in New York including Red-One. Whilst in New York, Maher worked with chat-topping artist Kat DeLuna on her smash hit 'Whine Up'. The journey beyond New York saw Maher leaving the glamorous life of show-business and re-directing his artistic efforts to something more "meaningful" and more "at home with himself".


The music video will be aired on all major global and regional music channels and coincides with the release of Maher's debut album 'Thank You Allah Hold' (due for release on the 10th of September 2009 and available for purchase from HMV and iTunes). The video will be submitted for several awards including the prestigious British Animation Awards.
